2005 fue sin duda el año de Slipknot. La entrevista con el líder Corey Taylor, grabada en junio de 2005, fue la entrevista más descargada de Toazted (más de 100.000 descargas), dejando atrás a grupos como Coldplay, Franz Ferdinand, Green Day e incluso Destiny’s Child, respectivamente los números 2 a 5.

Nuestro redactor jefe Peter van der Laan fue recibido en Nueva York para entregar el premio personalmente. El premio, en la forma de la viñeta de Toazted, pesa nada menos que cinco kilos. "We're not set up to be a gimmick. I think a lot of bands that don't wear masks are so gimmicky. All those hairdo bands, they think they're so cool. I won't mention any names but they go on The Tonight Show wasted and suck. That's so funny!"

"It's 9 guys in a really small room. It's hot and it sucks, but we slam, dude! We love it! There's some magic that happens... I'm getting chills just thinking about it."
